We’re experts on the issues of the energy industry.
Our firm has a substantial energy practice, representing U.S. and international energy companies, including several power plants in California, for which we provide legal services concerning project design, construction, acquisition, financing, development, operations, and maintenance. Additionally, we counsel foreign energy companies doing business in the United States.

Our energy practice deals with licensing and permitting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels, working with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the State of California Air and Water Quality Control Agencies. We’ve handled alternative energy project financing and also work with independent power producers in all aspects of their operation. We’ve successfully concluded or are currently working on projects in Texas, California, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Washington, and the Dakotas.

Our energy attorneys have also assisted independent power producers in positioning themselves in the dynamic California electricity industry. Our energy group monitors developments within California and advises clients as changes occur.
